Gilded Grape Grand Opening This Friday

There is much activity afoot on Church Avenue, between East 7th and 8th Streets.

New wine and spirits shop, The Gilded Grape, will be officially open for business this Friday at noon, owner Mary Pino told us.

The shop had a soft launch this past Saturday.

The Gilded Grape is hosting a grand opening party this Friday evening from 6 to 10pm. Everyone is welcome, Pino said.

Customers will be able to sample some wonderful New York State wines on Friday night, Pino stated. Currently, about half of the shop’s wine inventory comes from New York. The goal is to bring that number up to eighty percent, she said.

The changes on the north side of Church Avenue, between East 7th and 8th Streets, are striking. In the last three months, bar and eatery La Loba Cantina opened just a couple doors down from the Gilded Grape’s new spot. And now another building on the block is up for sale.
