Get Your Hands Dirty With Compost for Brooklyn

Compost for Brooklyn is hosting volunteer workdays this winter to ready the compost system for upgrades and renovations. The community composting project will be working in the coming days, weeks and months “to make the local environment greener and healthier,” wrote Louise Bruce, by sifting, turning and bagging the compost while maintaining their native plant garden.

The workdays take place on 12/15, 1/13, 1/26, 2/10 and 2/23 starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m at the Compost for Brooklyn garden located at Newkirk Ave and East 8th Street. You can contact Claude Rosen for more information.
