Do you need a hand applying for United States Citizenship, or do you know someone who might? This Saturday, March 7, Senator Kevin Parker and Councilmember Jumaane Williams, in conjunction with CUNY’s Citizenship Now! program, are aiming to help with a free application assistance event at the Brooklyn College Student Center (at the junction of E 27th Street, Campus Road, and Amersfort Place).

The 11am event will provide participants age 18 and over who have lived in the US as permanent residents for a minimum of five years (three if married and living with the same US citizen) with assistance from lawyers and other immigration experts, all at no cost. Only the first 130 people to RSVP to the event will be served, however, so it’s best to snap up your spot now by calling 646-664-9400.

You can see the full list of eligibility requirements and what documents to bring here, as well as information on naturalization fee waivers here. For help with directions to the event, call 718-330-1234.
