Get Tips On Buying Your First Home In New Workshop Series From NYCHA
Are you a resident of a New York City Housing Authority building who’s thinking of purchasing your first home, but feel lost by the confusing process? A new first-time homebuyer education workshop series that kicks off in our area tonight may be able to help.
The NYCHA’s Office of Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability is offering the series as part of a homeownership initiative it’s been expanding. They say the workshops aim to provide prospective homebuyers with info on how to qualify for a mortgage, work with a realtor, manage the necessary expenses, and more.
At the seven workshops, you’ll have a chance to meet with their local partners who offer free and low-cost HUD-certified homebuyer education workshops, homeownership counseling, and foreclosure prevention services.
The series begins tonight and continues through December, with two taking place locally:
