Voice your opinion and listen to your neighbors at the January meeting of the 66 Precinct Council Meeting on Thursday, January 19, 7 pm at Community Board 12’s office, 5910 13th Avenue in Boro Park.

The NYPD 66th Precinct, which covers Kensington, Boro Park, Ocean Parkway, Dahill Triangle and Midwood, has a new commander, Captain David A. Wall. Former 66 Precinct commander Kenneth Quick will also be at the meeting in a farewell handover of the precinct from one commander to another. Quick has been promoted to Deputy Inspector and now holds title Deputy Commissioner, Administration, a department very close to the top of the NYPD hierarchy.

At the council meeting you’ll have the opportunity to introduce yourself to Captain Wall, who until his recent promotion served as the executive officer at the 71st Precinct in Crown Heights.

Captain Wall will report on criminal activities in the 66th Precinct, including worrisome trends and how the precinct is addressing them as well as recent precinct happenings. It’s also a chance to ask questions or make complaints from the floor. The brass will be there taking notes on problems the audience raises, and many locals electeds also attend regularly.

The meeting is free and open to the public, and your participation helps keep the 66th Precinct safe. For questions or more urgent issues, you can Email the Council at 66precinctcc@gmail.com or call (718) 851-5611.
