Get in the Water at the Sebago Canoe Club Open House

Bring your whole family to try out canoeing, kayaking, rowing, and sailing on Jamaica Bay at the Sebago Canoe Club’s annual open house on Saturday, May 26, from 10am to 4pm. Many Ditmas Park residents are members of the club, including Andy Novick, who made the video above, so you’ll recognize many local faces there. Andy writes:

The water is newly clean, due to a $400 million dollar new CSO holding tank. And all sorts of wildlife is to be seen at Jamaica Bay: fish, beautiful water birds, clean water, etc…
Here is a podcast with the Commodore of Sebago Canoe Club, Tony Pignatello, explaining the Open House and the history of this Canoe Club, which is going to be 80 years old soon!
