Get Your Ghoul On At Upcoming Halloween Events
Halloween Parade 2015-28

Halloween is a big deal in Ditmas Park, with memorable parades, some of the best trick or treating in Brooklyn, and incredible house decorations on every block from Cortelyou Road to Church Avenue.  Here’s your ultimate guide for how to enjoy Halloween in the neighborhood. Have a Halloween event to share? Email us at editor@ditmasparkcorner.com.

It’s the event that everyone has been asking about… Come share your ghoulish creations on Monday, October 31 at the Prospect Park South and West Midwood Halloween parades! The mood is already set at the corner of Albemarle and Argyle Roads, with a full complement of ghosts and zombies.

  • Prospect Park South parade participants should meet at 1306 Albemarle Road (between Argyle and Rugby Roads) to enjoy some apple cider and treats at 5pm on October 31. The parade begins at 5:30pm, with trick-or-treating immediately following the parade. Bring your instruments, because the parade association is seeking help from percussionists and horn players to lead the parade around the Albemarle Road malls!
  • West Midwood parade participants should meet at the dead end on Glenwood Road near Rugby Road for cider and snacks at 6pm on October 31, with the parade itself starting at 6:30pm. Snack donations are appreciated – cookies, cupcakes, doughnuts, and juice boxes are always popular.
