Get Free Daffodils For Neglected Brooklyn Spots!
Registration for the 2017 Daffodil Project is open, and ends on Friday, September 1 at 3:00 pm.
Every year since 2001, the Daffodil Project has been giving away free bulbs to be planted in public spaces as a living memorial to September 11. So far over 6.5 million free bulbs have ben planted citywide, bringing communities together every fall to beautify the city.
Bulbs are free to civic organizations, individuals, corporate volunteer groups, schools, and community leaders who commit to planting them in a park or public space such as a schoolyard, street tree pit, or community garden.
Register here, and you will be able to pick up bulbs for planting on Saturday, September 23rd – at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket or on Saturday, September 30th – at the Seth Low Community Center.
