The weather is growing crisp and the leaves are beginning to change meaning it’s prime time to get a flu vaccine.

The government recommends the vaccine for everyone six months and older, and it constitutes the best protection against the flu. Quick and safe, the vaccine is also free with most health care plans.

This year, Coney Island Hospital and Marty Golden have formed a partnership to offer Brooklynites free vaccines at the below listed locations.

As well, you can get the vaccine at your local Rite Aid or Walgreens branch, among other corporate chains. To find the pharmacy nearest to you, take advantage of the government’s Flu Vaccine Finder widget.

Appointments are necessary for free shots at the following locations. To reserve a time, call (718) 238-6044.
