Now that we’ve successfully stuffed ourselves with turkey and pie, it’s time to start decorating for Christmas! Here’s where you can nab a Christmas tree around the area.

  • Shannon Florist & Nursery (3380 Fort Hamilton Parkway between Bills Place and Chester Avenue) has fresh cut trees from Canada, including Noble fir and Fraser firs, as well as hand-made wreaths. Shannon Florist & Nursery is open 8am-5pm Monday through Saturday and 8am-2pm on Sundays.
  • J&L Landscaping (702 Caton Avenue between E 7th and E 8th Streets) has fresh cut trees from Canada, poinsettia plants, wreaths of all sizes, tree stands, and more, and is open 7:30am-6:30pm seven days a week.
  • The Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket (Prospect Park West and Flatbush Avenue) will have trees and wreaths from Trumansburg Tree Farms until December 19, and is open Saturdays from 8am-4pm.
  • Christmas Tree Brooklyn (184 Underhill Avenue) is based in Prospect Heights but will deliver your tree to anywhere in the city, so if you really don’t feel like lugging one home, this might be a good option. Give them a call at 347-474-0079.
