Garden Workshop, and Concert, Tomorrow at PS 217

Gardener extraordinaire Susannah Laskaris is hosting a workshop tomorrow, Thursday, May 31, at 3pm in the PS 217 school garden. Kids are welcome to join with their parents for planting and exploring.

Also, the PS 217 Garden Committee could use some helping hands–if you’d like to assist in furthering the program, organizing, raising funds, writing grants, bringing ideas, or just helping in the garden, please contact Beth at bethsworld@gmail.com.

Following the workshop, there’s another concert in the school’s spring series in the garden. Four musicians have come together through PS 217–music teacher Andre Lubart, assistant principal Jonathan Leal, student teacher and professional musician Charles Mister, and parent/musician Don Martin–to form an ensemle of percussion, guitar and vocals. They’ll perform an eclectic mix of mostly rock and roll hits starting at 6pm–bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy the show!
