Friday Photo Finish: The Door Tops

I snapped these this morning, while walking down 23rd Avenue and 65th Street.

Whenever I see tasteful, interesting little architectural details like these on what are really just your basic old buildings and houses, I tend to get a little depressed about the crap that’s being billed today as ‘luxury’.

In the end though, stuff like this always makes me appreciative of the overlooked beauty around us and grateful to share the Ghost of Architecture Past’s secrets with you!
