Friday Crime Blotter: A Pair of Public Transit Pervs & A Self-Serve Burglar in a Self-Storage Facility
SUNSET PARK – Police are looking for a suspect who engaged in an act of public lewdness on a southbound N train earlier this week.
According to reports from a 31-year old woman, the man boarded the N train at 59th Street Station in Sunset Park, and sat across from her, said police. He then proceeded to reach inside his pants and stimulate himself for the duration of the ride to Stillwell Avenue, said police.
At the stop, both the woman and the suspect exited the train, at which point he fled to parts unknown. Pictures of the suspect can be seen below:
EAST WILLIAMSBURG – Police are looking for the burglar that broke into a self-storage facility in East Williamsburg last weekend.
The crime took place at 6:45 am on Saturday, April 7, when the suspect broke into the Manhattan Self-Storage facility located at 1053 Metropolitan Avenue, said police. Breaking in via a skylight, the burglar stole about $1,000 cash and a MacBook computer before fleeing.
Police said he was last seen operating a Caterpillar Payloader construction vehicle. Video of the incident can be seen below:
GOWANUS – Police are looking for another subway sex offender, this time a suspect in a case of forcible touching that took place on a southbound R train.
Around 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 27, the suspect groped the groin of a 21-year old female victim while the train approached Union Station, said police. Photos of the suspect can be seen below:
