Friday Crime Blotter: Robberies, Missing People, Forgery Device, Attempted Rape & More
WILLIAMSBURG – Police need help searching for three men they believe attempted to rob a young man earlier this month.
On Friday, January 4 at about 7:30 p.m., the three suspects approached a 17-year-old who was standing in front of 10 Manhattan Avenue. They told him to remove his phone from his pockets. The victim ran before the suspects could take anything.

MARINE PARK – The NYPD is looking for three individuals involved in a robbery that took place earlier this week.
On January 15 at about 4:35 p.m., the three suspects followed a 72-year-old woman as she was leaving Kings Plaza Mall. They all entered a bus, which led them to Flatlands Avenue and East 80 Street. One suspect grabbed the lady’s fanny pack, which had $200 in cash. The suspects then headed south on East 84 Street towards Avenue J.
Police describe the suspects as follows:
Suspect 1 – A black man wearing a sweater with the word “Brooklyn” on it, a red hat, and black and red sweatpants.
Suspect 2 – A black woman wearing a red bonnet.
Suspect 3 – A black woman wearing a winter coat.
CLINTON HILL – Police need help searching for a man and woman that they believe robbed a woman earlier this week.
On January 15 at about 8:45 p.m., the male suspect punched the 36-year-old victim in the face in front of 31 Rockwell Place. The suspect told her he had a handgun and demanded money. The victim took out her wallet and the suspect took $100 in cash. The lady suspect was the look-out the entire time. After they took the money, they left and headed south on Rockwell Place.
Police describe the suspects as follows:
Suspect 1 – A 15-to-20-year-old black man, wearing a pink hooded sweater with writing in white letters on the front, blue sweatpants, blue sneakers, and a light-colored backpack.
Suspect 2 – A 15-to-20-year-old black woman, wearing a gray hooded sweater, a black coat, black pants, and white sneakers.
PROSPECT PARK – The NYPD is searching for a man involved in an attempted rape that took place yesterday.
On Thursday, January 17 at about 1:15 a.m., a man tried to kiss a 27-year-old woman after she boarded the 4 Train going north on Franklin Avenue. The victim pushed the man away, but he grabbed on to her until she fell on the floor of the train.
As the victim got up from the floor, the suspect pulled her pants down and sexually assaulted her with his fingers, cops say. The victim moved away from the man as he continued to touch her genitals. The suspect then held both of the lady’s arms and removed $47 from her cell phone’s wallet case and her headphones. When the train arrived at the Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center stop, the suspect ran out of the train and jumped into the tracks. The woman tried to follow him but lost sight. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a 35-to-45-year-old black man, about 5’7” tall, weighing 150 pounds, wearing a yellow vest, a gray hooded sweater, a black coat, an orange sweater, black pants, and black shoes. A photo is attached below.
EAST NEW YORK – The NYPD needs help searching for five individuals involved in three robberies in the course of a month.
On December 17 at about 11:30 a.m. between Euclid Avenue and Pitkin Avenue, a suspect approached a 22-year-old man from behind, displayed a gun, and told the victim to give him his phone. The suspect grabbed the victim’s Apple iPhone and went north on Euclid Avenue. There were no injuries reported.
On January 10 at about 2:10 p.m. between Pitkin Avenue and Pine Street, four men approached a 16-year-old boy. One suspect told the boy he was going to poke him with a knife. The men then punched and kicked the boy. They took his baseball cap, AirPods, chain, and Apple iPhone. The total cost of the stolen items is about $1,760. According to the cops, there were no reported injuries and no weapons were displayed.
On January 11 at about 2:40 p.m. between Doscher Street and Pitkin Avenue, three men approached a 13-year-old boy. One suspect told the boy, “If you run or scream, I will shoot you,” cops said. A suspect took Yeezy 500 sneakers from the boy’s feet (that cost $200). The other suspect had his hand in his pocket and motioned that he had a gun. The suspects then headed northbound on Doscher Street towards Glenmore Avenue. No weapons were displayed and no injuries were reported.

Suspect 1 – A 15-to-17-year-old black man wearing a green flight jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt, and white sneakers.
Suspect 2 – A 15-to-17-year-old black man wearing a black goose down jacket with fur around the hood, and eyeglasses.
Suspect 3 – A 15-to-17-year-old black man wearing a black puffy jacket with a knit cap.
Suspect 4 – A 15-to-17-year-old black man wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans, gray jogging suit, and a backpack.
Suspect 5 – A 15-to-17-year-old black man wearing a black jacket with a red collar and light blue jogging suit.
BERGEN BEACH – The NYPD needs help searching for a man who went missing two days ago.
78-year-old John Folan was last seen inside his house on East 72nd Street at about 5 p.m. on January 16.
Folan is described as a white man with white hair, about 6’1” tall, weighing anywhere from 220 to 250 pounds. He was last wearing New Balance sneakers, blue pants, and a brown leather jacket. According to the cops, the man is possibly traveling in a 2018 Toyota Rav 4 with license plate NY EHC9695.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS – Police need help searching for a man who was exposing himself on the train earlier this week.
On January 14 at about 9 a.m., a 45-year-old woman saw a man exposing himself o the northbound A Train at the Jay Street / Borough Hall subway station. The lady exited the train at the next stop, but the man remained on the train.
The suspect is described as a 40-to-50-year-old black man with a thin build, wearing eyeglasses, a dark hat, a coat, and blue jeans. A photo is attached below.
MADISON – Police need help searching for a man they believe placed a forgery device inside a TD Bank last year.
On May 27 at about 12 p.m., a man was seen installing a skimming device inside of TD Bank’s ATM at 1122 Kings Highway. According to the cops, several bank accounts were affected as a result of this incident. The man left the location and headed to an unknown direction shortly after.
The suspect is described as a 50-to-60-year-old white man with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, dark-colored shorts, black shoes, white socks, and a dark-colored hat. Photos are attached below.
CANARSIE – The NYPD needs help searching for a man that went missing just a few days ago.
51-year-old John Peebles was last seen leaving his house on East 83rd Street on January 14 at about 7 p.m. Cops describe him as a 6’2” tall black man, weighing about 220 pounds, bald, and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black cargo pants, white shoes, and a gray cap. A photo of Peebles is attached below.
