Free WiFi, From Rupert with Love

Free WiFi, From Rupert with Love

In a somewhat indirect ploy to get us all subscribed to the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch & Co have just installed a ton of free WiFi hotspots around the city, and 3 of them are in Park Slope. You do have to create a free WSJ account to take part, but after that, unbridled access to the information superhighway is yours, assuming you’re in the market to do some computing on a bench outside Poly Prep (50 Prospect Park West ), New York Methodist Hospital (506 6th Street), or the Bay Ridge Federal Credit Union (275 20th Street). But are you?

The free access flows from now till the end of September, at which point, we’ll all have been suitably tempted to subscribe to the WSJ (?). You can check out a city-wide list of hotspots here.
