Free Summer Meals Are Back—Here’s Where Kids Can Get Them In Ditmas Park

Running from now through September 2nd (unless otherwise noted), free summer meals — breakfast and lunch — are back for another season of keeping all New York City kids healthy and happy while parents are at work, regardless of income.

All children aged 18 and under are eligible, no registration, documentation, or ID required.

Free breakfast and lunch are available at various community pools, schools, libraries, and parks, including a number of sites here in the Ditmas Park area.

All meals are served Monday through Friday at these local sites:

PS 249 (18 Marlborough Road)
Breakfast from 8am to 9:15am
Lunch from 11am to 1:15pm

JHS 62 Ditmas (700 Cortelyou Road)
Breakfast from 8am to 9:15am
Lunch from 11am to 1:15pm

PS 217 (1100 Newkirk Avenue)
Breakfast from 8am to 9:15am
Lunch from 11am to 1:15pm

Midwood Public Library (975 E. 16th Street)
No breakfast
Lunch from 1:15pm to 2pm

Brooklyn Public Library-Kensington Branch (4207 18th Avenue)
No Breakfast
Lunch from 1:15pm to 2pm
*No meals listed on July 6

Edward R. Murrow High School (1600 Avenue L)
Breakfast from 7:30am to 8am
Lunch from 11:30am to 12:30pm

Brooklyn Public Library-Flatbush Branch (22 Linden Boulevard)
No Breakfast
Lunch from 12:30pm to 2pm

M.S. 246 (72 Veronica Place)
Breakfast from 8am to 9:15am
Lunch from 11am to 1:15pm

P.S. 006 (43 Snyder Avenue)
Breakfast from 8am to 9:15am
Lunch from 11am to 1:15pm
