This Friday, February 27, from 7-9pm you can join neighbors for a free showing of “The Human Experience,” a documentary from the Greenpoint-based Grassroots Films, at All Souls Bethlehem Church (566 E. 7th Street between Cortelyou Road and Ditmas Avenue).

The documentary follows a band of brothers who travel the world in search of those timeless questions: Who am I? Why are we here? What does it mean to be human?

“Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa,” Grassroots Films writes.

As for what they learn?

“Through one-on-one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit,” the filmmaking company said.
