Free Donut Alert

Free Donut Alert

Benefit from yet another irrelevant “national” holiday today, for it is National Donut Day. Okay, it has a better origin than, say, National Pancake Day. Turns out National Donut Day was started by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

And now it’s a day for anyone to get a free donut, provided you buy something else–at least at Dunkin Donuts, which we have several of around the neighborhood. They’re giving out a free donut with a purchase of a drink, while supplies last. And if you find yourself anywhere near a Krispy Kreme, you can stop by for a free donut, no purchase necessary. Happy Friday!
