Yesterday’s scorching weather has cooled down today and through the weekend, which may see some showers. But weather experts are looking towards next week, when Hurricane Florence may make a direct hit on New York late next week.

There’s no telling yet what the storm could bring—but remember to brave any weather to vote in the primaries on Thursday, September 13!

In weekend subway news: G service between Bedford-Nostrand and Court Square will be replaced by shuttle buses this weekend—and for the next four after that.

The J won’t have service between Hewes and Broad Street, so avoid the Marcy Avenue station as well. The M won’t have service from Myrtle/Broadway into Manhattan, either.

The N line will be running on the D track from 36th Street to Coney Island, leaving parts of Sunset Park high and dry for the next couple days.

And the AC will be taking the F line from Jay Street to West 4th/Washington Square, so if you’re looking to hit High Street, get ready to walk a bit.

One the crime side, the “Bushwick Crew” was hit with 5 new indictments on murders connected to their bloody heroin business in Bushwick and Queens, including killing and burning the bodies of two would-be robbers back in 2013.
