Fox News Host Soaked With Water At Union Pool Event


Fox News host, National Review writer, and stand-up comic, Kat Timpf, was assaulted last night at a fundraising event for Ben Kissel‘s campaign for Brooklyn Borough President.

Timpf was invited to speak at the event held at Union Pool in Williamsburg (484 Union Avenue) on Monday, July 24. She tweeted shortly after 8pm that as she was preparing to speak, an unknown man approached her and poured a bottle of water on her before fleeing the venue.

Upset by the incident, Timpf canceled her talk and took to Twitter to document what had happened and her reaction.

Kissel responded to the assault on Timpf Tuesday morning via Twitter.

According to Timpf’s tweets, the incident was recorded by surveillance cameras and the footage was reviewed by police after she filed a report. Many commenters have noted that they were relieved that it was only water thrown on her and not something more harmful.
Alex, the manager of Union Pool, declined to comment when BKLYNER reached out to the venue regarding the incident.
