A four-story community center and medical facility will be constructed on the corner of 82nd Street and 21rst Avenue, reports YIMBY.

Owner Abdul Wahid — a doctor affiliated with New York Methodist Hospital‘s Dyker Heights Medical Associates on 86th Street — has filed applications to build a 16,563 square-foot religiously affiliated community building at 2105 82nd Street.

According to YIMBY, the mixed-use building will serve several functions:

The bottom floor will have the building’s lobby and area of worship, the second and third floors will be fitted for medical offices and classrooms, and the top floor will house the living quarters for three care takers.

Two two-story, brick and stucco homes at the site were approved for demolition last year. The architect overseeing the project is Long Island-based Willy Zambrano.
