“No regrets, Coyote / We just come from such different sets of circumstance / I’m up all night in the studios / And you’re up early on your ranch,” wrote Joni Mitchell in her iconic song from 1975.

Bet you know the song’s name.

An undetermined four-legged creature roamed across a rooftop on 6th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. And neighbor Melanie Morgan caught a shot of the mysterious visitor on Tuesday morning.

“I was brushing my teeth this morning looking out of my back window when I saw this little guy,” Morgan told the Park Slope Stoop. Her apartment is on 5th Street and she was looking just across the way while polishing her pearly whites.

The police do not have record of any out of the ordinary animal sightings in Park Slope. Animal Care Centers of New York confirmed they have not received any calls or complaints from the neighborhood.

Since we’re not animal experts, we can’t say with clarity what exactly was roaming.

“I’m from Texas so I’ve seen them before and he did look like one,” said Morgan. “No collar either – I was looking.”

Animal Care Centers of New York explained you can call them at 718-688-7406 should you see an injured animal or see wildlife that doesn’t typically appear in the neighborhood. “Please use caution in the event you identify an animal that seems sick,” said a spokesperson from ACCNY.
