Three Hospitalized In House Fire On Bedford Avenue

Three people were hospitalized Monday morning after a fire broke out on the first floor of a Bedford Avenue home, according to the FDNY.

More than 60 firefighters battled the flames for an hour at the brick home on the corner of Avenue W. First responders were called to the scene just after 5am, officials say.

Two firefighters and one civilian were taken to Coney Island Hospital with minor injuries, according to the fire department. A fourth person was injured by the blaze, but refused medical attention.

The fire department is still determining the cause of the fire.
