Fort Greene-Clinton Hill Rental Roundup

Looking for an apartment to rent around Fort Greene or Clinton Hill? We’ve rounded up a few spaces available in the neighborhood to help you on your hunt. If you live in one of the apartment buildings, let prospective neighbors know how you like it.

Studio in a Clinton Avenue Castle
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,695, plus broker fee
Details: There’s not a ton of information available for this brownstone beauty, originally listed for $1,750. The same unit’s on the market via Citi Habitats and Town Real Estate, which you can see in the curvature of the room, the intricate window, the gate outside, and the cross streets listed for both. The studio looks to be on the first floor, so we’re not sure about the noise or security factor in such a busy area–plus we wonder how well such gorgeous windows keep the heat in. All that said, it has a new kitchen and bathroom, you can bring your pets, and you’ll be close to transportation, food, and shopping on Fulton–and while Town doesn’t yet have it listed  for the reduced price, it’s certainly worth asking what each realtor can do for you as a client.

Two Bed for Terrible Cooks
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,250, plus broker fee
Details: This place for two on Cumberland Street by Lafayette Avenue is all about location, although the ad praises its historic details as well (that first place is a tough architectural act to follow). You’ll be smack in the middle of BAM and Fort Greene Park, have the option of all the trains at Atlantic Barclays (you know how the C is), and have your pick of the eateries on Lafayette, Fulton, Dekalb, and more–which is good, since your kitchen is on the small side. Enjoy going out!

Two Bed Near Restaurants for 8/1
Available: August 1
Price: $2,850, plus broker fee
Details: Looking for a new place, but not ready to move yet? This two bed on Clifton Place and Grand Avenue isn’t especially fancy, but certainly looks roomy, functional, and close to Pratt, G trains at Clinton/Washington and Classon, and plenty of cozy cafes and eateries. The building also offers some amenities, including laundry, bike storage, and a deck for those late summer hangouts you’ll be hosting. Oh, and it’s pet-friendly, too!

Pratt Area Duplex for Four
Available: Immediately
Price: $3,900, plus broker fee
Details: This 1,300 sq ft place offers four bedrooms at less than a grand a piece, fresh upgrades, loft-like details, and two bathrooms. Its location on Myrtle and Classon makes it ideal for Pratt students or staff, plus you’ll be just a few blocks down from shopping, restaurants, banks, and more. It looks bright in the ad, although we’d be interested to see how what looks like a lot of can lighting and small windows feel in person.
