Fort-Greene Clinton Hill Rental Roundup

backyard by ny times real estate

Looking for an apartment to rent around Fort Greene or Clinton Hill? We’ve rounded up a few spaces available in the neighborhood to help you on your hunt. If you live in one of the apartment buildings, let prospective neighbors know how you like it.

Two Bed Near the Navy Yard
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,900, plus broker fee
Details: If you’re looking for a two bed that won’t necessitate both roommates paying over a grand, this unit on Cumberland Street between Park and Flushing Avenues could be a good bet for you. It seems to get a lot of light (at least in some rooms), it comes with a dishwasher and microwave, and who can deny those trees outside the window? On the other hand, it’s a third floor walkup, it’s not terribly close to the subway, and one of the bedrooms is especially tiny. Hey–if you don’t have a ton of stuff and prefer your own mode of transportation, give it a look.

Three Bed Just off Pratt Campus
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,750, plus broker fee
Details: Here’s another one that might not break the bank! At Classon and Dekalb, this exposed brick-laden spot could be great for Pratt students or faculty. You’ll be right near a great enclave of restaurants and coffee shops and a block away from the G at Classon, too. The possible downside? This place sort of looks like a railroad setup (although the ad doesn’t specify it as such), so consider whether that’s something that’ll work for you.

Gorgeous Three Bed Near Everything
Available: Immediately
Price: $4,100, plus broker fee
Details: Alright, so this place is $1,350 more per month than the three bed above. Look at it, though! Soaring ceilings, parquet floors, moulding to die for, and… are those counter tops travertine? At Greene Avenue and Fulton Street, it’ll also but you close to 11 subway lines, tons of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, and lovely community green spaces. If it’s in your budget, you can expect us over for dinner.

Three Beds in a Carriage House
Available: October
Price: $9,500, plus broker fee
Details: Alright, so a few price points for the three beds this week. Unlike the above two, this one is a 3,500 sq ft triplex and has four (four!) bathrooms–you know, just in case you prefer to have one specifically dedicated to clipping your toenails or something. It also has a backyard, a stunning kitchen, the potential for in-unit laundry, a fancy security system, radiant heated floors, and central air–in addition, of course, to its incredible details like beamed ceilings and polished concrete floors. At Waverly and Gates Avenues, you’ll be close to the C at Clinton Washington–but if you’re more of a driver, you should know parking may be available on a case by case basis (as are pets, by the way).
