Former New York Brick Oven Pizza Space At 1502 Cortelyou Road Is Now For Sale

Here we go again.

We’ve noticed “for sale” signs have sprung up in the windows of the New York Brick Oven Pizza building (1502 Cortelyou Road), continuing the saga of the building that was home to The Cornerstone bar, and another drinking establishment, Solo, (as well as kittens!) before sitting empty and eventually becoming the pizza shop that closed about a year after it opened.

And, who can forget the owner of a pharmacy that was supposed to move into 1502 Cortelyou responding to neighbors saying they’d like to see a bar at the site instead by telling the Brooklyn Paper that “most of them are alcoholics.”

A group named Best American Homes USA is apparently the company in charge of selling the site. We’ve called both numbers posted on the signs in the building’s windows but have yet to speak to anyone there. We’ll update you as soon as we find out any more information.
