Forgotten NY Profiles Avenue Z

Source: Forgotten NY

Sheepshead Bay received yet another visit from amateur historian and Forgotten NY writer Kevin Walsh. This time Walsh took an August stroll down the length of Avenue Z, from Shell Road to Knapp Street.

Along the way, he snapped photos of the Dom Deluise and Hydrocephalus Foundation advertisement, Saint Marks, Coney Island Hospital and more. Walsh also quoted Sheepshead Bites a few times, making it official: Sheepshead Bites is a historical resource. Bam! (Okay, okay. An amateur historical resource… jeez.)

Go check out Forgotten NY’s Avenue Z page. We found the section on The Cedars quite enlightening.

Thanks to Mara M. for pointing this out via Facebook.
