Fleet Week is here!

We, along with hundreds of others watched the boats come in today for Fleet Week, which runs through May 29.

As always, Fort Hamilton saluted with 11 cannon balls saluting USS Arlington – almost as exiting as the boats for the many schoolchildren in attendance.

This is the 30th year, and the Fleet Week offers lots of events for folks of all ages: check out the boats, events, and enjoy!

If you don’t want to leave the borough, USS Mitscher (DDG 57) is docked at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook, and you can tour it daily between 8am and 5pm (don’t forget a valid photo ID for anyone over 18).

Earlier today there were divers at the NY Aquarium:

On May 26th from 8 am – 4 pm U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) aviation static displays, personnel equipment and more will be at the Prospect Park. Event is free and open to the general public.
