Who doesn’t love a sidewalk sale? Even better with some fresh-baked goods to munch on.

This Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25, from 9am to 2pm, take advantage of the bright fall weather and shop the East Fourth Street Community Garden’s Fall Flea Market, which will be held right outside the garden’s gates.

You’ll find a great selection of household goods to choose from, including books, toys, clothing, and a slew of beauty products. And for the hungry shopper, yes, baked goods will once again be on the menu. Nibble on a cookie while you check out the sale’s awesome dollar table.

The garden is also pleased to offer a bumper crop of mums and pumpkins. (Never too early to start prepping for Halloween!)

But the sidewalk is just the starting point! Come on into the garden and the fun continues.

For the brew lovers among us, a beermaking workshop will be offered on Saturday starting at 11am, using hops cultivated in the garden. And don’t forget to check out the garden’s current art installation, featuring eight sculptures generously lent by local artists, including Jim Osman, Jacqueline Metheny, and show organizer Scott Reeds. Turn it into a scavenger hunt for the kids—and don’t forget to look in the trees!

All flea market proceeds go to meet the garden’s expenses and will help fund future event programming.

You can find the garden on East Fourth Street, between Caton Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway in the Kensington section of Brooklyn. Take the F/G to the Fort Hamilton Parkway stop.
