Flatbush Promise Neighborhood Seeks Help of Neighbors

CAMBA is working on the Flatbush Promise Neighborhood initiative, which aims to come up with creative solutions to help every child succeed, and then they’ll apply for up to $30 million over the next five years to make that plan a reality. From CAMBA:

The objective of this initiative is to ensure all children growing up in our neighborhood have access to great schools and strong systems of family and community support that will prepare them to attain an excellent education and successfully transition to college and a career.
We are calling on all of our community neighbors, including schools, businesses, health care providers, non-profits, faith communities, and government, to join us and help form a partnership that will strengthen our community and help provide the services our children need to thrive.

If you’d like to help, contact CAMBA at 646-358-6566 or Promise@camba.org. And if you live or work or have a child in school in the area, someone may ask you to do a quick survey–please give them a few minutes of your time and fill it out.
