FLATBUSH – A 56-year-old Flatbush man has been arrested in connection to the death of his wife, the NYPD report.

At approximately 11am on Tuesday, September 5, police responded to a call regarding an unconscious female at a residence on Avenue J near New York Avenue where they found a 63-year-old woman lying unresponsive with trauma to her head, police say.

EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead.

The victim’s husband, Loiseau Desmoulins, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with murder, the NYPD report. According to the New York Daily News, it was Desmoulins who telephoned the police Tuesday morning to report that his wife was unconscious in her bedroom.

Officers investigating the incident said there were no signs of forced entry and the “bedroom was in disarray,” the paper reports.

The couple’s landlord told the Daily News that the couple fought frequently, mainly due to Desmoulins’ being unemployed. Desmoulins was acting strangely Monday night, the landlord added.
