Flatbush Development Corporation’s 38th Awards Benefit

FDC's 38th Awards

The Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) is celebrating its 38th Awards Benefit on Wednesday, April 10, 6pm, at Gargiulo’s Restaurant, 2911 W 15th St in Coney Island. This year’s event will be held in honor of the recently departed Paul Goldman, a special friend to FDC and a tremendous force in his community. The evening honors people who have made  outstanding contributions to the Flatbush community, and features a cocktail hour, silent auction, and sit-down dinner.

Along with neighborhood association and business honorees, the FDC’s 38th Community Leadership Award recipient will be Dr. John Marshall, head emergency room doctor at Maimonides Hospital. They’ve added the “Unsung Hero” Award in memorial of one of Flatbush’s most inspiring members, Jack Katz, which will be presented to the 70th Precinct Community Affairs team. Neighborhood Service Awards will go to Anne Gaudet, Elaine Sarfati, Salvatore Lentini, Stacey and Steven Bell, Cathy Nottage, and yours truly, Mary Bakija!

Proceeds from the benefit and its journal proceeds will support FDC programs throughout the community. To attend, or to place an ad in the journal, call 859-3800, ext. 209 or email annualdinner@fdconline.org. The deadline for orders is Wednesday, April 3.
