Flatbush Avenue Gym Burglarized This Weekend
A Blink Gym, near the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Linden Boulevard, was burglarized early Saturday morning, police confirmed.
Two robbers entered the gym through the rear of the building around 5am on Saturday, cops said. One robber, described as a black male, was caught on surveillance video, but the suspects then cut the wires for the gym’s surveillance system, according to police.
The two burglars robbed the gym’s safe, where patrons stored cash and other valuables. A watch, bracelet, iphone case, and almost $1,000 in cash were stolen. The perps did not touch the register, police said.
The suspects are at large. An NYPD spokeswoman said that she could not yet confirm whether video footage of one of the robbers would be released.
