First Mayoral Campaign Poster Spotted in Ditmas Park

de Blasio Campaign Poster on Marlborough

Looks like we’re in de Blasio country, at least according to the one campaign poster we’ve seen pop up in the neighborhood so far, on Marlborough Road near Beverley.

A Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday found that New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn leads the Democratic primary for mayor with 37%, compared to Public Advocate Bill de Blasio’s 14%. 2009 Democratic mayoral candidate Bill Thompson got 11%, and Comptroller John Liu got 9%. 27% of those polled were undecided.

Keep in mind that even though New York City is overwhelmingly Democratic, no Democrat has won a mayoral campaign since 1989. Do you think this year will change that? And if so, who do you think has the best shot out of some of those in the running?
