Firefighters Suffer Injuries Battling Flames In Dyker Heights
A three-alarm fire broke out at 71 Dahlgren Placein Dyker Heights Monday morning, injuring three firefighters in their battle to contain the blaze. News 12 is reporting that this building partially collapsed in the fire.
Despite the collapse of the building, no civilians were hurt in the fire, which started at 1:30 a.m. Neighbors were reportedly in a panic as the fire grew out of control.
“My neighbor was just ringing the doorbell a million times. I woke up and looked in the backyard and the whole backyard was on fire,” a resident told News 12.
It took the FDNY three hours to control the blaze, causing minor injuries for three firefighters.
An investigation is ongoing regarding the cause of the fire.
