Fiorentino’s Ristorante Is Closing For Good This Weekend

Fine Italian food is about to become a little scarcer in Gravesend.

Fiorentino’s Ristorante (313 Avenue U), an authentic, no-frills Italian spot on Avenue U known for its generous helpings of red sauce-drenched pasta, will be closing its doors for good this Sunday after more than three decades in business.

The Fiorentino family posted the following message on the business’ Facebook page, much to the chagrin of their loyal customer base:

After Sunday night 1/10/16, Fiorentino’s Ristorante will be closing it’s doors for the last time. We are very proud to have served Brooklyn’s finest Italian cuisine for over 32 years. The restaurant was our second home, and we are grateful to have shared many meals, holidays, and special moments with you. From our family to yours, thank you for the memories. -The Fiorentino Family

Losing neighborhood fixture like this one is sad, sad news for residents of Bensonhurst, Gravesend and beyond. Fiorentino’s, you will be missed.
