There are three camp sessions for the summer 2016 season – the first beginning on July 5. Tuition is $500 per session for children ages 3-6 (camp runs from 9 am to 12 pm), and $990 per session for children ages 6-12 (camp runs from 9 am to 4 pm).

The LIU Children’s Academy sessions for kids ages 3 to 6 revolves around language immersion – English, Mandarin, or Spanish. The immersion programs are led by native speaking educators and explores language through songs, dance, games, and play. Additional activities include gymnastics, origami, swimming, and yoga.

For older kids, choices like Robotics allows campers to build their own robots from assembled parts. Participants learn about engineering, motors, gears, and audio devices by deconstructing everyday items and then putting them back together in creative ways. You’ll have your very own MacGyver in the house!

Over in Game Design, children work with game design tools, techniques, and strategies to develop their very own video game. Lemonade 101 explores what it means to be an entrepreneur. There’s even Circus Arts for kids who dream about life under the big top.

That’s only the beginning! A complete list of summer camp course offerings can be found here.

Interested in checking out the LIU Children’s Academy in person? Mark your calendar for the camp’s upcoming open house on Saturday, April 2, from 11am to 1pm. Open house will take place in the Pratt Building Lobby.
