Local dog organization FIDO is hosting its annual Pupnic this Friday, May 15, providing pooches (and their owners) a chance to meet other pups and people while snacking in the park.

The event is scheduled for 5pm until dusk at Prospect Park’s Nethermead, and neighbors are invited to bring some food for the potluck, as well as your talented pooch — they’ll have contests to see which dog can catch the most biscuits; which gives the most licks per minute; who’s biggest/has the smallest foot/ears; plus, who’s got the best “stupid dog tricks.”

Want to help set up, or be a judge (take it from us, judging comes with privileges)? Contact Betty at askauntbettyny@aol.com.

In case of rain, the event will be held on May 29 instead.
