FEMA Coming To Our Area To Discuss Irene-Related Property Damages
Residents in our area will be able to meet with representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and local elected officials, on separate dates and locations to discuss issues related to property damage incurred by
HurricaneTropical Storm Irene.
The two individual events are as follows:
- October 17, 7 p.m. at the Kings Bay Y, 3459 Nostrand Avenue between Avenues U and V: Assemblyman Alan Maisel, Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, & Councilman Lew Fidler invite you to meet with representatives from FEMA and other agencies to obtain assistance with damage resulting from Hurricane Irene
- October 19, 7 p.m., at the Cort Club, 2648 Gerritsen Avenue between Devon and Channel avenues: State Senator Martin J. Golden and the Gerritsen Beach Property Owners Association will welcome officials from FEMA and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection for a town hall meeting, which will allow area homeowners and residents, who have incurred damage to their property during Hurricane Irene, to discuss the possibility of filing a claim with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Representatives of Congressman Bob Turner’s office will also be in attendance.
