Under the weather or underinsured? Be sure to take advantage this week of the no-cost health screenings and events being offered at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center (650 Fulton Street at Lafayette Avenue). The practice is holding an ongoing open house, with events through Saturday as follows:

Tuesday, August 12: Dental

Wednesday, August 13: Rising Heights Program (HIV/AIDS), plus free HIV testing

Thursday, August 14: Pediatrics

Friday, August 15: Nutrition

Saturday, August 16: Health fair including free asthma, blood pressure, and glucose screenings, free and rapid HIV testing, health insurance and managed care enrollment, plus games, raffles, giveaways, and food

Saturday’s event will run from 11am-4pm. For more information, stop in from 8am-8pm through Friday or 9am-5pm through Saturday, or call 718-596-9800.
