Feds Add Bribery Charges Against Senator Kruger

Although State Senator Carl Kruger has been attempting to go back to business, it looks like federal authorities are turning up the heat on him.

Prosecutors in Manhattan unveiled a rewritten indictment of the embattled state senator yesterday, packed with new charges for conspiring to commit bribery, as well as a second money laundering conspiracy count.

The new charges stem from the same incidents spelled out in the previously publicized court documents, and the latest revisions can be seen after the jump, courtesy of Capital Tonight.

One thing’s for sure, though. As charges pile on, so will the pressure for the once powerful state senator to step down.
