CLINTON HILL – The FDNY rescued a pedestrian in Clinton Hill this morning after his entire right leg fell into a sinkhole on Myrtle Avenue.

Firefighters responded to a call at approximately 11:13am Tuesday morning near 713 Myrtle Avenue at the intersection of Walworth Street. A man crossing the street had his entire leg swallowed by a small sinkhole that opened up beneath him at the crosswalk, according to a FDNY representative.

It took responders approximately five minutes to carefully “wiggle” the man free, according to the rep. The victim was transported to Woodhull Hospital for trauma. His injuries are not life-threatening.
