FDNY EMT Killed on Motorcycle in Kosciuszko Bridge Hit and Run

GREENPOINT – An off-duty FDNY EMT was struck and killed by a car on Kosciuszko Bridge over the weekend in an apparent hit and run accident.

Kevin Liang, 27, was changing lanes on his motorcycle while crossing the bridge when he was struck by the car, losing control of his motorcycle and falling to the pavement. The accident occurred just before 7 pm on Saturday, September 30.

Liang was transported to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A witness saw the driver involved in the accident check his black Lexus for damage before speeding off, reported the Daily News.

“The driver stopped about 20 feet after, looked around, got back in and drove off,” said the witness. “No question about that. He stopped and looked around. And he just left.”

The driver of the car that struck Liang has not yet been found.
