Fatty Daddy Taco Opens On 9th Street
Fatty Daddy Taco opened the doors to their 9th Street (between 4th and 5th Avenue) restaurant Thursday night, and by lunchtime Friday, neighbors were pouring in to give the area’s newest Mexican food joint a spin.
Of course, this transplant Texan was among those stopping by, and decided to start with a grilled steak ($3.50) and grilled chicken ($3.00) taco. The beef taco was good, but it was the chicken, with its fantastic citrus taste, that really scored big in our book.
The menu is posted above the counter, so you can spend any line time figuring out what you’re going to order. There are a handful of bar tables and stools inside the restaurant, but it’s tight in there, especially if there’s a crowd, so you’re probably better off getting your food to go.

Fatty Daddy Taco (718-499-TACO) is located at 310 9th Street. Hours are Sunday – Thursday, 11am to 10pm and Friday – Saturday, 11am to midnight. The restaurant offers free delivery, but there is a $10 minimum. Credit cards are accepted.
