FasTrack Work Hits The 2/3/4 & More Subway Service Changes This Week
Some late night changes affect several lines here in Brooklyn, and some things to look out for if you’re riding the B or the Q during the day:
No 2/4 trains at Bergen St, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Pkwy
3 service ends early in Brooklyn
Late nights, 10pm Monday, January 27 to 5am Friday, January 31
2/4 trains run express in both directions between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Franklin Av. Free shuttle buses run between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Franklin Av, stopping at Bergen St, Grand Army Plaza, and Eastern Pkwy.
145 St-bound B trains run local from Kings Highway to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday to Friday, January 29 to February 21
F service operates in two sections
Late nights, 12:01am Tuesday, January 29 to 5am Friday, January 31
1) Between 179 St and Jay St-MetroTech, and via the A to/from Hoyt-Schermerhorn; and 2) between Stillwell Av and Bergen St, and via the G to/from Bedford-Nostrand Avs. Transfer at Hoyt-Schermerhorn to continue your trip.
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday to Friday, January 29 to February 21
Trains stop at Church Av and Newkirk Plaza. For service to Parkside, Beverley, Cortelyou, Ave H, Ave J, and Ave M, take the Q to Church, Newkirk, or Kings Hwy and transfer to a Manhattan-bound B or Q. For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Newkirk, Church, or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.
No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm Monday, January 27 to 5am Friday, January 31
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. For 53, 45, and 36 Sts, take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, watch out for service disruptions on the D, the N, and the Q further down the line if you’re headed to Queens or the Bronx.
