FasTrack Hits The N/Q/R Trains & More Weekday Subway Service Changes

If you’re driving today, a reminder that alternate side parking regulations have been suspended once again for Monday, March 3, though meters remain in effect. If you’re hitting the rails this week, FasTrack work takes over the N, Q, and R, lines, the G will be slow to show, and more:

Wakefield-bound 2 trains skip Hoyt, Clark, Wall, Fulton Sts, and Park Place
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Tuesday, March 4 to Friday, March 7
After Nevins St, Wakefield-bound 2 trains run via the 4 to Wall St (skipping Bowling Green), then are rerouted nonstop to Chambers St and resume regular service.

Manhattan-bound D trains run local from 36 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday to Thursday, until March 13
Allow additional travel time.

G trains run every 20 minutes
Late nights, beginning 11pm, Monday to Thursday, until April 3
Allow additional travel time.

No N trains in Manhattan
Q trains are rerouted in Manhattan
R service ends early in Queens, Manhattan, and Downtown Brooklyn
Late nights, 10pm to 5am, Monday, March 3 to Friday, March 7
N service operates in two sections: Between Stillwell Av and Court St, making local stops, and between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd. Q service operates between Stillwell Av and DeKalb Av, and is rerouted as follows: Via the D between DeKalb Av and 47-50 Sts, and via the F to/from 57 St. R service operates in Brooklyn between 95 St and 36 St. See a complete list of travel alternatives here.

Astoria-bound N trains run local from 59 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday, March 3 to Thursday, March 6
Allow additional travel time.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Additionally, look out for more changes further down the line on the 2, 4, B, F, and Q trains.
