Fall Back In Love With Fitness This Fall At Crunch Flatbush

Even though it still feels like July out there, Labor Day weekend is almost a full month behind us. The public pools and beaches are closed (ARGH!!!). Fall routines are starting to settle into place a bit. Maybe you have kids back (or starting) in school. Maybe things are getting a bit more hectic at work. Maybe it’s just a slight change of perception. Whatever it is, things just feel a bit different after that traditional end-of-summer marker.

Some of the changes that come with fall might be out of our control, but we can also use that natural shift to consciously shake things up a bit in some areas of our lives. Take your workout routine, for example. Whether things fell off a bit over the summer and you need to get excited about fitness again or you’re just a little bored with your routine, Crunch Flatbush owner Assaf Gal thinks this is the perfect time to re-evaluate fitness goals and regimens.

“I know for me, personally, when summer turns to fall and things ‘get back in order’ to the routines for the school year, I take it as an opportunity to revisit my fitness routine as well (which has likely gone out the window in the summer!). For example, it’s not nearly as hot outside but still nice enough to go out for a light jog. Sometimes working out can be a grind, but when I’m doing a light jog outside and get to see the leaves changing, kids being dropped off at school, or just taking note of the changes in the air, it reminds me why I do it in the first place.”

And you can supplement that light jog by reigniting things inside the gym as well. Gal points out that the key to staying fit is making your workout a habit and the key to doing that is finding something you love to do. And that might change. So give some new things a try.

“If you feel like cardio nonstop is a grind, have you ever tried a class?” he asks. “If a class is fun, but the workout is not high intensity enough, try a small group training class. If you want to use weights, but aren’t sure what to do, take advantage of a kickoff.”

Crunch Flatbush has a lot of options and a great facility as well as knowledgeable trainers and staff to help you navigate them. And you get access to all of it at a really affordable rate.

So use that natural shift September brings to reinvigorate your commitment to fitness by giving Crunch Flatbush a visit! (Maybe get in a light jog on your way over.)
