FAB Fridays Return This Week With Kids Activities
FAB Fridays are back!
The annual kid-friendly summertime activities lineup at Putnam Triangle Plaza (Fulton Street and Grand Avenue) and Fowler Square (Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue), hosted by the Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance, has been released and includes everything from Urban Croquet, Legos, and hula-hooping, to live musical performances, drumming circles, and art workshops.
This Friday, May 8 marks the season’s kickoff from 4-6pm, and will take place at Putnam Triangle Plaza, featuring a performance by award-winning Berean Community & Family Life Center Drumline. Here’s the full schedule and corresponding locations:
- May 8 – Putnam Triangle Plaza (Fulton and Grand)
- May 29 – Fowler Square (Fulton and Lafayette)
- June 12 – Putnam Triangle Plaza
- June 26 – Fowler Square
- July 10 – Putnam Triangle Plaza
- July 24 – Fowler Square
FAB FRIDAY KIDS include:
- six weeks of activities from 4-6pm for kids ages 4-12 years old. All the fun comes courtesy of neighborhood groups like South of the Navy Yard Artists (SONYA), Young Minds Day Care, BRIC, Pratt Area Community Council, Brooklyn Public Library, and Where’s Cosmo.
- three free Kids Concerts from 10-11am for kids ages 1-5 years.

On Saturday, May 30, there will also be an all-day K-5 Scholastic Chess Tournament.
Free chess tournament featuring 30-minute games between students from local schools. Prizes will be given to all participants and trophies will be awarded to the top school team or player and runner-up. Registration will begin at 10:00AM or interested participants can email seabeaking@aol.com.
Also coming up is the second annual FAB Movie Series, start date TBA.
