F Train Surfer Falls To His Death This Morning At 4th Avenue & 9th Street


A subway surfer fell to his death early this morning while climbing a Coney Island-bound F train. His body was recovered at the Fourth Avenue & Ninth Street station, said cops.
A witness saw a man snaking between cars and climbing toward the top of the train — otherwise known as subway surfing — before falling, just before 5am on Wednesday, October 5, according to police. The man died on the scene, and his body was found on the tracks with massive head trauma.

The MTA announced that trains were bypassing Fourth Avenue & Ninth Street station early this morning, but the station had re-opened and is now operating with minor delays.
