F & G Trains Skip Local Stops Again, Plus More Weekend Subway Changes

Southbound F and G trains are skipping 4th/9th again this weekend — get used to it, since that’ll continue every weekend this month. Details on that and other service changes from the MTA:

2 service operates in two sections
Weekends, 3:45am Saturday to 10pm Sunday, until February 9
1. Between Flatbush Av and E 180 St, and via the 5 to/from Dyre Av; and 2. between E 180 St and 241 St. Transfer between trains at E 180 St to continue your trip.

Coney Island-bound F trains and Church Av-bound G trains skip 4 Av-9 St, 15 St-Prospect Park, and Ft Hamilton Pkwy
Weekends, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, until February 24
For service to these stations, take the F or G to 7 Av or Church Av and transfer to a Queens-bound F or G. For service from these stations, take the F or G to 7 Av or Smith-9 Sts and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F or Church Av-bound G.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Plus, there are additional changes to look out for further up the 2, 4, F, and R lines in Queens.
